I was thinking about Nora Ephron this weekend after I read her son Jacob Bernstein’s beautiful piece in the Nytimes sunday magazine (http://www.nytimes.com/2013/03/10/magazine/nora-ephrons-final-act.html?ref=magazine.) There are many lessons to be learned from looking at the way Nora lived her life. So often, many of the artists we admire live tortured and traumatic lives- making us think that misery is a prerequisite to living a creative life. Nora was known for being a great director, writer, and journalist. But she was also known for being happy and generous.

Enjoy her commencement speech made at her alma mater Wellesley college in 1996.
